Blakes Gardens
Ludwig L Blake, 1870-1957. In 1925, Ludwig Blake, artist and manufacturer, began constructing extensive Venetian Gardens of lagoons and architectural "follies" as subject matter for his paintings and mural wallpapers. Only one wall remains of the gardens' architecture which was removed in 1996.
The above was excerpted from the plaque show in image 9790 below. Unfortunately, the bronze plaque was stolen sometime shortly after I took these pictures.
