Studebaker closed shop on December 20, 1963. I was 4 days old. Now, 47 years later, there are still a few buildings standing. I have mixed feelings about seeing the last of them torn down. On one hand, it seems they should be saved and repurposed. On the other hand, they should have been torn down decades ago and the city should move on. I do not mourn their passing beyond the loss of photo opportunities.
